The Single-Mother Household Scholarship recognizes and honors students who have been raised in single-mother households, acknowledging the unique challenges and perseverance often present in these family dynamics. This $1,500 award, to be paid directly to your educational institution, celebrates the strength and determination that mirrors the message in Langston Hughes' poem "Mother to Son."

As part of this category, applicants must submit:

  • Documentation verifying their single-mother household status

  • A personal 500-word essay reflecting on how the poem "Mother to Son" by Langston Hughes relates to their life experience

  • All standard application materials (transcripts, recommendations, etc.)

A single scholarship will be awarded in this category. This scholarship particularly resonates with the values of resilience, determination, and the powerful bond between mother and child.

Team Lambert Investment Scholarship

The Team Lambert Investment Scholarship is dedicated to supporting the next generation of educators who aspire to make a difference in the lives of future students. This $1,500 award, paid directly to your educational institution, is specifically designed for students committed to pursuing a degree in education. By investing in future teachers, this scholarship aims to contribute to the continued excellence in education.

As part of this category, applicants must submit:

  • Documentation confirming intended education major

  • Official High School Transcript

  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation from teachers, counselors, or community leaders

  • Proof of College Acceptance (if available)

  • Resume (optional)

Dorothy Morton Endowment Scholarship

This $1,500 award, paid directly to your educational institution, is specifically designed for students committed to pursuing a degree in healthcare, medicine, or medical education. As part of this category, applicants must submit:

  • Documentation confirming intended medical care or education major

  • Official High School Transcript

  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation from teachers, counselors, or community leaders

  • Proof of College Acceptance (if available)

  • Essay: "How will you make a positive change when you complete college?" (500 words)

  • Resume (optional)

General Scholarship

The General Scholarship opportunity is designed to support promising students in their pursuit of higher education, regardless of their chosen field of study. This $1,500 award, paid directly to your educational institution, recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement, and a commitment to personal growth.

As part of this category, applicants must submit:

  • Official High School Transcript
